Basically, it includes:

  • Rice- It is usually prepared in many ways as a base for numerous dishes
  • Khameerbob- It refers to a dough usually cooked that works like a combination between pasta and dumplings
  • Ashak- These are dumplings filled with tasty ingredients and topped with yogurt and onion
  • Mantu- This is also a type of dumplings filled with onions, tasty meat, and topped with yogurt or tangy tomato sauce
  • Qorma- It is basically onion-based stews again prepared in numerous styles usually with meat
  • Palao- This is a traditional dish and prepared in dozens of styles that include rice-based meat, raisin dish, and pistachio. The national item categorized under palao is Quabili Palao.

Desserts and Drinks

When it comes to desserts you can find mouthwatering sweets such as traditional Jalebi, Baklawa, Halwa Zardak, Saffron ice cream, etc. On the other hand, drinks include Dugh (rose-flavored yogurt), and popular forms of tea, coffee, Bio wine( organic drink) consumed by the local people.
